GreenFlex Sustainable development strategy and roadmap Energy master plan Build your roadmap with an energy master plan to achieve your environmental performance objectives The energy master plan is a tool that provides a clear vision of the current situation, a projection into the coming years in terms of environmental and operational ambitions, the modelling of different scenarios to achieve them and, finally, the creation of a clear operational and financial action plan. GreenFlex helps its customers define a global energy performance strategy aimed at controlling and reducing their energy consumption and diversifying their energy mix (energy efficiency, purchasing, renewable energies and mobility). Why is energy performance a lever for decarbonizing businesses? Planning your roadmap, a global challenge for improving your energy performance over the long term Energy performance is one of the key levers for decarbonizing organisations and local authorities, by enabling them to consume less energy and consider renewable energy production for the remaining consumption. In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, many organisations want to build their energy roadmap to meet regulatory obligations (e.g. the tertiary sector decree) or the expectations of their stakeholders, reduce their costs (energy or maintenance bills) or limit the impact of rising energy costs. An energy master plan provides a technical, operational and financial roadmap for the coming years, and enables us to take comprehensive action on performance drivers, rather than taking one-off actions to maximise the benefits. GreenFlex can help you build your energy master plan The master plan is divided into 3 phases. 1. Framing the mission The current trajectory and strategy are analysed, and the consumption items and uses mapped out by means of data collection and site visits. This stage provides a clear understanding of the company’s current situation and prepares the way for the second stage. 2. Assessing potential Using the data collected and site visits in the first stage, energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions are identified and their costs, payback times and benefits calculated. The energy consumption data is extrapolated to a 5-year timeframe based on planned projects (increased production capacity, building extensions). 3. Defining a roadmap Various alternative scenarios are constructed, focusing on different parameters (volume of thermal or electrical energy savings or CO₂ emissions, profitability, societal impact, subsidy rate, ease of implementation or investment, subsidies, operational costs, etc.). Once the scenario has been selected, a technical, operational and financial roadmap (identification of subsidies, White certificate premiums and appropriate financing solutions) and a roll-out schedule are drawn up. This enables companies to plan their investments and energy renovation work over the short, medium and long term. It has a clear action plan for achieving its objectives and improving its energy and environmental performance. Technical and financial expertise to improve your energy performance ▪ 220 energy engineers specialised by business sector and technical expertise (refrigeration, lighting, thermal, carbon, renewable energies, mobility, etc.). ▪ In-house tools for carrying out diagnostics and simulating optimisations and scenarios for energy and environmental performance. ▪ Financial engineering teams to identify and propose the most appropriate solutions (coupling of subsidies, White certficate incentives, leasing and third-party financing, CAPEX/OPEX packages, deconsolidation, compliance with IFRS standards, sales & leaseback, SPVs, etc.). ▪ The ability to provide support throughout your energy transition process: once the master plan has been drawn up, GreenFlex can help you implement it (project management, EPC, turnkey), finance it and manage it using its GreenFlexIQ platform.
