The preliminary design phases

  • Feasibility study: selecting the most appropriate technical solution and checking that the project is economically viable
  • Summed-up preliminary design: defining the summary characteristics of the project to estimate the costs. It provides the key elements for deciding how to proceed certificated with the project.
  • Detailed preliminary design: determining the main characteristics of the technical, economic and financial design of the structure. The preliminary design allows the project to be launched and a project manager to be appointed for the construction work.
